[VIDEO] ginch66 Super Punchout Repair and screwdriver madness

Took me almost a month to get this board back on it feet. I don't think it was ginch, but some previous owner took a screwdriver to this PCB in a bad way and messed up traces under multiple ROM/PROM sockets. Sheesh....

Lots of good tips in this one! I love how you walk through everything so clearly. You make it look so easy.

Some good evidence of why one should get a chip lifter/puller. I like my Wiha lifter; makes things much easier.

I'm so grateful that you share your expertise with us, Adam. Thanks a bunch.

Great job on the repair - you always do top notch work.

Killer video!

BTW, how do/did you repair the traces? Do you use a silver pen or solder or??

Makes me want to get a Logic Analyzer so I can start learning how to fix PCBs! :) But, maybe I should stick to games that already work...

I watched that video just a few days ago and someone really did a job on it. Anyway, your video's are really good and I've learned a lot from them. I saw a post below asking how you repaired the traces. I'm curious as well.

Something else I am curious about is that I see a lot of repair videos on Punch Out. Is there really that much of a demand for that game or does it just happen to be that is what you do the video's on?

Keep up the awesome work.

Actually I do any/all Nintendo pcbs but as far as I know, I'm the only guy doing Punchout's so anyone with a bum PO PCB ends up sending them my way :)
