Who would I be able to purchase video cables from? I need a couple cables that go from my inverter board into the chase. Or can someone tell me what the parts are that I would need to build them (connectors, pins, wire) any time I need one.
Thanks,

Ya, Thanks.
Thats what I was talking about. But wow! is $15 a fair price for a ribbon cable? That seems a little high for a cheap little cable.

It's 36" long and meant to go from the game pcb to the monitor. It will work, but is a bit of overkill. you could always pick up a couple .100 6-pin connectors, some pins, and some short pieces of insulated wire and make your own...

Save money..........now thats what I'm talking about. Now the search for the parts starts.
Thanks

Just make sure that when you do it, that you remember that Nintendo used a different pinout than the standard.

Standard: Red Green Blue Ground Sync Sync

Nintendo: Green Red Blue Ground Ground Sync

That's if you decide to use different colored wire for each line.

And obviously, if you are NOT inverting it (using it in a Nintendo game) and were just looking for the wire from NON-INV to the chassis input, you can just bypass the inverter board entirely...

OK, one more quick question about monitor connections. Now I know what connectors to use on Nintendo style games but what should I use on a standard chase? I found this one and would like to know it it's the right size.

No. The details there say the pitch is 3.96mm. You need ones that are 2.54mm. Besides, that one has the crimp-down tops, and are shit long-term. You need this one:

Hey Mod,
His last post said....not Nintendo, but "standard chassis".....I assume Wells-Gardner, Electrohome, etc. That would be the 3.96 pitch.

Oh. Missed that. but still don't use the crimp down ones...

What game and what monitor are we taing about?

The first one was a Sharp and the other was a WG. I am just trying to have all the stuff I will need for my bench. I started this hobby just doing a little electrical and mostly cosmetic stuff, now I am finding the electrical stuff more fun.

2 totally different animals my friend. 1 uses .100 header pins and 1 uses .156 header pins.
