Anyone know anything about this?

https://www.villageauctiongallery.com/Event_Schedule.php

They've been advertising it on CL a lot...it's on the same day as Captain's Auction in Anaheim. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! ;)

$50 bidder deposit and cash only...hmmm...I can see that resulting in cheaper games. Credit cards = bid all ya want... Cash = bid only what you've got on ya.

Does anyone know if this is a blowout of an arcade, what games they're gonna have, etc?

LOL, I didn't even scroll down to see those pics....duh duh duh. The only pinball I see is Sharkey's Shootout...if that's the case, I'm stayin' home!

Is that what that is? What the hell kind of topper is that?

It's such a drive anyway, more pics and a game list would really help me decide if I want to make the effort. Sheesh.

There is a phone number in some of the CL ads that you can call and probably ask which pins are for sale. Generally it looks to be newer equipment and massively BIG.

Just as an FYI, Capt Chris' auctions are on-line. Last time the auction lasted until 8 at night, as they had a second building full of machines and he takes longer to sell the games than the auctioneers who used to conduct these auctions. Even though the pins came up fairly early in the auction, it still took a few hours before the pins came up for sale last time.

You can now go through the auction preview, leave, and then bid when you want. It beats standing around there all day.

Last time I just showed up at 1pm ...they got to the pins 10 min after I got there...perfect! :)

Honestly I don't know why I even go...between the Corona flippers, the Vegas game store guys, the shill bidding, and the general shit condition of the games, it's always a wash. There was a surprisingly low price on a really nice Austin Powers last time, though....but I just didn't want that game again. :)

Yes, but we go anyway because this is a disease...

They did a relatively poor job of advertising the auction last time and there were not as many bidders as usual. There were a lot of route worthly videogames that went for below average prices.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there are great deals on vids. When I go to the auctions now, I just pay attention to the pins.

I called the number for the spanish speaking guy because no one is answering the other number. They will call back with details on the pins and I will let you guys know.

I bet there are less than 3 for sale and two are Flash parts machines.

They called back. The good pins were already cherry picked. And they don't recall which ones are left but "it's a couple". Sounds like a great auction. I can hardly wait. I think I'll camp out the night before.
