VGA to CGA converter on a 25" Wells Gardner 25K7191

I am building a MAME cabinet out of a NEO GEO MVS cabinet. It has a Well Gardner 25" monitor. I bought a VGA to CGA converter board from China. It has 5 RGBS pin out on it and I tried matching the pattern and connected it to the board of the Wells. I get a picture but it is all wiggly and not straight. I can read stuff on the monitor though and it is the right color. I guessed on the pins because I received no documentation. Maybe I have a sync pin mixed up?

Since you're getting a picture that seems to be somewhat sync'd - I don't know what to tell you on this one. I think you're taking the hard route though - if I were to mame a neo geo cab, and you wanna do it plug and play without hacking a thing, I'd get a Neo Geo to jamma adapter (jammaboards), and a Ultimarc J-PAC, and/or an arcadeVGA card. Done! Yes its a few bucks to buy all that stuff but it will work out of the box and all you need to do is worry about setting up the computer.

I have the Ultimarc J-PAC, but didn't want to spend that much on the 15K video card. I bought the VGA to CGA adapter for $35. Just figured it out. On the adapter, RGB as normal, next pin is ground and the last one (Sync) has to go to both negative H Sync and negative V Sync. I had it on +H Sync before.
