I have a client that has a number of 25" VGA CRT computers monitors they are tossing. Wondering if anyone has good mounting tricks to put this to use in some cabs. I have a Area 51 and Carnival King that need some replacement monitors.

Can't say with shooting games but for standard games it would just be getting a cga to vga converter board to really hook it up. As long as the front bezel comes off the computer monitor without too much trouble it shouldn't be a big deal to mount it. Some computer monitors(as well as others) had the front bezel glued to the monitor which makes it a bitch if not near impossible to remove without damaging the tube.

Are you removing the entire casing?
Also wondering about the frame and if I would need a shelf or if anyone has had success with some frame mountings.

If your replacing monitors, you will have a frame. Mounting the monitor board might be fun, but the tube should fit into the frame.
