Guys is it possible to wire up my K7000 to a VGA cable that can be plugged straight into a 412 in 1 pcb? I have a jamma adapter in my machine (Ms Pacman) that the 412 in 1 is connected to which works fine. However, some games have dark lines showing up while playing. I though it was my monitor, so i tested it in another machine and gets the same results. I then tested it through VGA to an lcd monitor and it works perfect. Thus the reason for the VGA cable. If this is possible please let me know the proper connections that need to be done. Thanks!

No you can't, the k7000 is a CGA monitor so wiring VGA to it won't do you any good. You'll have to use a VGA to CGA adapter like this https://www.ebay.com/i/172443808131?chn=ps.

You're probably better off buying a new multicart and just selling or using that one as VGA only cause scaling up to VGA and back down to CGA will have poorer image quality.

I have a couple of 412 in 1, and neither of them have dark lines. Maybe it is a problem with your 412 in 1 and that should be seen about replacing.

Okay glad to know that. Didn't want to jack up my monitor. I might try to send that cart back. I actually tested this cart on my Neo Geo with the jamma adapter i have in my Neo and got the same results. Do people ever trying running a mame pc to a cga monitor and get success?

I actually sent it back because i did thought it was an issue with the cart. But i still ended up getting the same results on CGA mode. Meant to ask you, what machines are you running yours on? And are you using a jamma adapter? Wondering if that is the culprit.

I run one in a jamma and cga, and the other Jamma and VGA. I use jamma for the controls in both cases.

I thought of something you may try, in the manual it talks about the dip switch for the screen flip or resolution. Flip that switch to the different position. Make sure the item is off while you flip it. It is a long shot but something to try.

In your Jamma to cga setup how did you connect the monitor? Did you use an adapter like SillyB recommended?

I did try that, but that only seems to apply for VGA mode. But i tried it anyways and still the same lines on the screen.

Yes - tons of people! You have to run a converter or buy a PC video card that will do 15khz directly. Old ATI cards can run a modded driver or you can buy them from Ultimarc that work out of the box. If you want to run mame but not damage your vintage game (like most of us here) that's the way to do it.

To expound on this, you are better off on these forums for emulation questions:

The jamma has rgb out. So i just connect the 412 in 1 to the jamma harness, which is connected to the monitor chassis.
