This will be a simple one. I'm installing a new flyback in a G07 from BR's kit. it has an extra wire that goes to the focus knob section. What's the proper way to hook that up?

Does the old one just pull out and then I push this one in? Or do I clip the old one further back and solder the new one to the end of that lead? Or what?

Thanks!

pull the bootie back and unsolder it from the ringlet. solder in the new one. dont forget to put the old bootie back on the new wire.

Ok, the reason I asked is because when I pull back the little rubber boot it looks like the wire is just pushed inside a hole there.

Edit: No it doesn't. My eyes aren't what they used to be. Thanks!

feed the white wire thru the hole at the bottom of the flyback to run it up to the spot where it solders on. (Look at old flyback to see what I am talking about) You will probably trim about 4-5 inches of wire before soldering it on. Save the wire for other repairs on other monitors.
