Hi,

Just got a new Pacman 25th Anniversary Machine with a version 3.0 PCB. Is there anyway I can reduce the sound amplification? I understand there is a volume control (pushbutton) within the coin door but its almost like the sound is significantly amplified. For instance the volume goes up to 20 (or some unbelieveably high number on the board) but because the amplification is so high even when it is at 4 its almost blowing my ears out. Is there an amplifier and any way I can reduce this?

Thanks!

Theres also a volume switch on the jamma board locate it and turn it down that should be the problem. Its a volume knob that turns left and right

Actually it has to be something on the machine outside of the PCB. I plugged in a 60 in 1 card and I get the same problem. And actually on this new V3.0 pcb there are just buttons to adjust volume, no more knob. Will e-mail namco. All suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

Have you tried to trace the wires going to the speakers?
