My Collection / Basement Remodel

Have things organized enough now to share a few photos of my collection in the condo basement.

Restored games:

Games to restore this winter:

Games I'd like to add over the next couple of years:

Sea Raider or Sea Devil

A driving game CDI or Bally - Speedway or Roadrunner

Midway Chopper or Whirlybird

Williams, Midway, or CDI Rifle Arcade maybe 1 or 2 not sure yet.

Thinking about a few wall games and some other CDI games but not sure as of yet.

This is only one portion of the space available to me in my basement.

Plans are being drawn up for the following basement remodel at some point when the weather finally breaks at the end of spring. Included in the remodel will be a 6-8 seat bar/wetbar with full 4 player arcade controls using a MAME using a flat screen central to the back bar. Beer tap unit probably two taps.

On the other side of my basement will be a room for my son. A storage/furnace room. Under my steps will be a desk/office set up. Considering a small bathroom with urinal only as this is a man cave. A sitting area with a 65" flat screen with arcades mixed in here or there.

Ohemio, if you moved your sons room to under the stairs you would have more room for games!

I recently had to thin down my collection so that my kids have more space so maybe I'm still a little upset about that.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. The thought crossed my mind regarding the stairs. He is an adult now. Hmmm. Nah the wife wouldn't allow it.

I really can't complain. I have quite the space for having a condo for my current collection with room to grow. Just about have most of the money together to finish the basement too.

Be getting started here within a few weeks. Only bad thing is the restorations will halt for the most part until I complete the cave.

Here is my collection

Not pictured is a Special Force pinball, Jumping Jack Pinball, Pashislo slot machine, and a Ice Cold Beer game.

Nice single rifles Corvair...

Single rifles are on my hit list...of coarse at the right price always. I'm a pacient guy though willing to wait for the right one. Still restoring my Space Mission pin and the United Ball Bowler is next in line.

Yeah the key for me too is the right price.

The Captain Kidd was $175 but it was missing the stylus. It had some jerry rigged thing that didn't work too well. After researching etc I discovered that the bushing that the stylus slides in was missing. After locating a stylus from John's Jukes I needed to find a bushing that I could JB Weld in place. The stylus measured 1/8". After thinking for a bit (didn't take long really) since I work in auto parts I thought about using a brass compression fitting bushing. It was a perfect fit!! I JB Welded her in place and it works great. The former owner (a pinball/video game repair guy) couldn't locate the stylus so he got rid of it cheap.

The Sniper Rifle game was for sale for $50, but it was 3 hours away. It had a burnt coil from a stuck switch somewhere. After a couple of days the game was posted for free claiming if no one wants it-it's going to the dump. Well, coincidentally I was talking to someone about a pinball repair job that was about 30 minutes from where the game was located and my Sis lives down that way too. I quickly emailed the person to see if the game is still available which it was.. So, day one I made the trip down there and repaired the pinball machine. Drove to my Sisters and spent the night. The next morning I pick up the game and bring her home. For the most part the game played. I discovered that stuck/burning coil was a stuck switch on the coin mech. So all is good now. The repair job more than paid for my trip and I got a free game to boot!!
