Vertical monitor problem help!!!

This is for the monitor guys, my vertical monitor i have for my 48-1 is now blowing the 1.5A SB fuse... Everytime i replace it, it blows... Does anyone know why it would be dong that??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
 
sorry it took so long. heres some pics of it.. its a philips ecg?? thats the name on it.. the fuse thats popping is on the 4th pic in the upper right hand corner (its kinda hard to get a pic of it) its a 1.5A 125V SB fuse... any ideas?

Well, you have a K7000 series monitor chassis. I assume you are powering it through an isolation transformer, right?

For that model chassis, you fuse is probably blowing due to:

1) bad caps
2) bad HOT
3) bad critical safety cap
4) bad flyback

Check them all....

well, you know,now that you mention it... let me ask you this? will the monitor run for awhile without that transformer? then eventually this would happen?

I ask this cause the machine i took the monitor out of, i just looked and there is a transformer at the bottom... and i seem like an idiot now!!!

so would it have worked and now blow out so to say? or would it just not work without one??
 
I have seen some of these run for a while without one, then suddenly go bad. And I've seen some that have blown right away....
 
You probably blew some of your rectifying diodes, and maybe your voltage regulator...
