Good day,

I have a galaga arcade that I did a cap kit on a G07 CBO monitor that was dead and now it works but I can't get these lines out. I've adjusted the B+ so that my voltage is 120 and the closest that I can get it to is 120.3. That seems to be good. I can't get the lines out. I've adjusted the pots on the chassis but the lines don't change. Is it time to start looking for a new monitor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And yes this is my first post so hopefully I am doing this right.

Thanks,

Chauncey

I did replace the flyback. What do you mean by turn down the screen control on the flyback? I did adjust the brightness, volts and focus though.

Thanks for the quick reply.

That is raster lines caused by your flyback being turned up too high. There are 2 pots on the piece just in front of the flyback. One is focus and the other is screen, turn the screen down until you have the desired picture on the screen.

Got it. I'lltry this as soon as I get home. I know that you all have heard this many times before, but thanks for the expert help and unselfish exchange of knowledge.

Thanks,

Chauncey

To add to what the pros have said, after turning down the screen knob on the flyback (to get rid of the retrace lines) you will probably need to adjust the brightness. I am not familiar with GO7, but there should be a brightness adjustment pot.

Again, thanks to all for your help and advice. I got home and turned down the screen (brightness) and the picture is beautiful. Now to get my pacman looking as good as my galaga.

Thanks,

Chauncey
