My only vintage shirt. Wish I could say I won it legit...though I would have. I was the town champ at Marble Madness in Bar Harbor in the '80s...basically by virtue of my scores staying up there unbeaten throughout the summer and during the winter. Bragging rights only.
A few years after, in the late '80s, I was over at my buddy's house and we went into the room and I saw that on the wall and was all "What the HELL is THAT?!?!" He got very sheepish and started laughing and told me that he had heard about the contest and drove up to Space Port in Bangor to play and didn't tell me because he wanted to win, which he did, obviously. The dink! I gave him righteous shit about it and it became a punchline with us for years, and at some point in the '90s I got this in the mail from him with a note saying I deserved to have it because I clearly would have won. He didn't even finish the ultimate wave. It always makes me laugh...the dink.
