Anybody ever had a board do this? It's a Gauntlet Dark Legacy, and on certain screens (mainly screens with a splash image) it has some trash in the image. In the actual gameplay, everything's fine, it's just in the splash images on some of the screens.

Here's a pic, see what I'm talking about?

I tried a new hard drive, new boot rom, new security chip, adjusted the power supply up and down, no dice.

it's probably the video card. check all your fans and make sure they're all working. my Sportstation had a multitude of dead fans with it, I wound up replacing like 3 of them so far.

weird artifacting with a video card is often times caused by heat. please also make sure your board voltage (test at one of the roms) is 5.10V. also verify your JAMMA edge is clean (pencil eraser, wipe the rubber fragments away from the board), these boards have a high potential to burn up the +5 fingers if they're not cleaned properly and you keep feeding it too much voltage. 5.1's like the limit with Vegas.

You were actually kind of right. It wasn't a fan, but it was the video card. I found another cabinet to swap and switch boards with, when I swapped the video card, the issue swapped over to the other cabinet.

So I just sent Mr. Chad some money.
