Dan,
Since you posted my private email to you, here's yours:
"George, I understand delays happen.. I have reproduced some arcade parts and have always met my deadlines.. What is disturbing is the lack of updates on the product..
I started a thread on KLOV about your Warrior cart.. Many people saw that thread and purchased one from you.. Enough that you sold addition copies above the 100 that were suppose to be produced.. There have been sellers on KLOV that have ripped off people in the past.. One last year for thousands of dollars.. Im not in anyway implying that is the case here.. But you need to let people know whats going on!!
What makes me most upset about this is the lack of updates.. You are sitting on a large amount of money from the collectors.. You should be giving them updates.. I hear thru the grapevine that Rich at this Old Game is doing the new overlays for this.. He does great work.. I have alot of his products.. However he has alot of projects going.. and it would be nice to see where this is on his priority list...
What I would like to see happen with this, since I made the post that promoted your sales on KLOV.. I would like to see you make a update in the thread.. Get a date from Rich on the overlays and post that in the thread as well.. That thread makes me look bad, and I dont like looking bad for a product I have no involvement in!!! I have people sending me private messages asking when they will get there product.. I wish I had never started that thread now..
Please do the right thing and give a update to all the people that sent you money!!!
Here is a link to the thread, you have posted in it before...

Thanks, Dan"
First of all, you placed a PRE-ORDER. I want that to be made clear, because you are offering up info that isn't altogether accurate. I did not release the game yet.
There hasn't been a lack of updates. If you mean email updates, I've sent at least one every month (not including December) because I do a general email to everyone on my email list anyways. I know that you have been receiving updates, because one was attached at the bottom of the email you sent this morning. In that update I wrote:
"WARRIOR
Coming along nicely, and will certainly be my biggest/best achievement on the Vectrex so far. I appreciate your patience, as the game is being released later than originally promised. I'm getting some emails asking when it will be released, and at this point I think it's safe to say that the game won't be released until after the holidays (hopefully January). I do apologize for the delay, and if you get tired of waiting you can always request a refund. Please note that if you do, you will not be able to re-purchase the game from me because your cartridge will go to someone on my waiting list. Allow 1-2 weeks on refunds. I simply need more time to finish it, and I thank you for your understanding and patience! In the meantime, I've added character images of the Warlord and the Iron Maiden to the Warrior webpage.

I also updated the website again yesterday.
Your posts tend to suggest that I don't communicate with people, and nothing could be further from the truth. There isn't a person out there who can say that I didn't respond to an email (business or personal) within 24 hours. My response to your last email came within less than 12 hours. Clearly I'm responsive, or you wouldn't have had anything to paste in here.
One thing that I don't do, and will never do, is update my customers on forums (which is what you suggested), with the exception of this post. You have to understand that there are numerous classic gaming forums, and it would be impossible for me to update all of my customers with a forum post, especially since many of them do not read forums. It makes much more sense for me to send emails to my customers by using my customer email list. I understand that I've posted in this thread before, but I don't check threads routinely, so communicating through a forum is not always the best way and I never suggested that I would be updating my customers in this thread. The only reason that I'm here today is because I received several emails this morning alerting me to your post.
You made a comment about the fact that I opened the release up to 125 copies (after originally having it at 100). There are 25 additional happy people right now. Is that something that bothers you?
Another thing that you mentioned in your email is that you feel personally responsible since you started this thread, and that I must have received orders because of this thread, etc. No offense, but I want you to understand that this section of your email is completely ludicrous. The thread makes you look bad? Honestly, this is just ridiculous. I didn't ask you to "promote" my game, if that's what you call it. I don't need you to promote my game. I have a growing Warrior waiting list of over 50 people. And if this is your idea of promoting my game/company, please stop now.
And no, I'm not holding a large amount of $. Most of the money is going into the production of the game. Anyone can request a refund at any time.
You said that you don't want a refund, but I want to offer it to you again. I think we would both be happier. I'll process it immediately. Just say the word. I'm tempted to force process the refund now without your consent because of how much time I've just spent on this post, but I won't do that. If you continue to post this type of stuff, I'll have to process your refund. I can't waste time fighting off the suggestion that I'm some type of crook because I happen to be late on a homebrew game release.
I have received no other complaint emails Dan. You're the only one! The responses that I've received from my last update were more along the lines of "Hey man, take your time, make this perfect. I totally understand. No rush." (that's an actual email by the way)
This is not the Nintendo Corporation. This is very much a garage operation. I work all day long, come home, spend time with my family. When they go to sleep, I work on Warrior. Every night!
I've been creating and distributing Vectrex games since 2003 and have always made good on all game releases. I think that there are plenty of past buyers out there who will support that statement. I've been on time, early, and late with my game releases in the past. I'm sorry that the release is later than originally promised, and that it didn't arrive in time for your birthday.
Dan, no hard feelings, but I need you to back off or take the refund.
I'm putting everything I have into this game and I'm not going to release it until it's finished.
George
