Vectrex Warrior and Sundance

Just to clarify, players control the opening of the hatches in Sundance with the joystick in conjunction with Button 4. For example, the top-right hatch is opened by moving the joystick to the top-right and pressing Button 4. The center hatch is opened with the joystick in the neutral position, so you would just push Button 4. Novas will be fired with Button 3. The various game modes in Sundance have a similar feel to Space Wars. I am for the first time using the Vectrex's built-in player/game selector screen that is present in many of the original GCE Vectrex releases (like Space Wars). The 4 game modes will differ between the 1 and 2 player games. So, technically you could say there are 8 different game modes, but I'm still finishing up some details so none of that is set in stone yet.

War of the Worlds and Sundance are remakes.
Warrior (2-player) is a clone.
Warrior (1-player) is an expansion, exclusive to the Vectrex.
(Both versions of Warrior are on the same cartridge)

Counting down the days to Sundance and Warrior!! Hey George...what would you think about a Tail Gunner remake for the Vectrex? ;)
 
That's no problem, a lot of people have emailed me about the controls because they're remembering a 3x3 matrix of buttons, but I've found that the joystick + button setup is actually better.

Tail Gunner is another great vector classic, one I'd like to do. There are still so many vector games that need their second life on the Vectrex.
 
Whoa that WotW remake looks sweet. That vid and ZVG got me thinking I may need to get a Vectrex back in my collection. :)

Please make a Tailgunner/Tailgunner2 cart.

The gameplay could be almost identical with the vectrex stick and it is a great classic.
 
Add me to the Tail Gunner request list.

You know what I think would be awesome though I'm sure licensing means it will never happen is for someone to do Warrior on the 3DS. That way the fully rendered playfield arena would be perfect.

yeah me too on the tailgunner!!

I can say that i am lucky that i got the chance to buy/add to list for WARRIOR... cant wait to play this game after alllllllll these years!!

Also i just purchased WAR OF THE WORLDS tonight and cant wait to play this game!!!
 
Looks like I started a Tail Gunner petition for the Vectrex... I take full responsibility for this. You guys can thank me later when George makes a great home remake of it. :D Fingers crossed everyone! George might be busy, but maybe there's a chance for this game to be brought back.

P.S. Hey George, can I call dibs on the first Tail Gunner cartridge since I reminded you that it would be a worthy game for the Vectrex? ;) And one of the last Cinematronics vector games to be ported too!

I'm not sure about that, but I know that John from Classic Game Creations was well on his way to finishing a Discs of Tron port for the Vectrex, but the source code was accidentally destroyed. I would've loved to see it too...

Ok, I'll put Tailgunner on my to-do list. Now if someone else pops it out before me, more power to them! The earliest you'll see it from me is mid-to-late 2012, but no official announcement at this point and things can change.

Just starting to ship this week (couple weeks late, sorry!)
1 and 2 player support (needs 2 controllers for 2 players)
6 game modes, including an invisible grid mode

I still extend my offer of calling dibs on the first Tail Gunner cart :D

...And many Vectrex systems smiled that day as they heard that yet another great Cinematronics game is coming back...there was much rejoicing *Yaaaaaaay*

I want to see a photo of Warrior, Sundance, WOTW, and Tail Gunner running side by side like a vector arcade!
 
What's really funny about your post is that I actually watched The Exorcist - "The Version You've Never Seen" - just last night!

Has anyone recieved there Vectrex Warrior cart??? My wife bought this for my birthday last August.. It was suppost to be here in October??? Nothing.. I emailed him in November and he said they were not done.. im not looking for a refund, just want a update and hopfully my cart soon...
