Vectrex Multicart

I have a "Vectrom" multicard for my Vectrex. It works well and it's fun. Downside is you have to change dip switch settings to change games. There's no on-screen menu. Not a huge deal for me as I don't usually change games frequently during a game session. I have it at work and I sometimes play a little during lunch. (all my twenty-something co-workers are mesmerized by it). The ones noted previously in this thread seem easier to change games so that's cool. Fun system. You'll enjoy it regardless of the multi you buy.

I have seans v1.0 cart. His v2.0 is better(what he now sells), but the euro cart has 72 games vs seans 60.

Both have some different games on them. I would compare to see what you like better.

I have not looked into vectrex multicarts for a long time. But the 5200 and coleco multicarts I got from atarimax let you upload games to the cart through usb port.

The link you posted is where I'm gonna get mine from. They have been out of stock for a long time but it looks like they are back in stock. Unfortunately, now I have no money.

Well my wife just said I could order it since I've been waiting for a while for them to get back in stock. I'll let ya know how it is when I get it.

I'm not familiar with the multicarts, might be good, but no overlays ruins it for me personally.

Theres one cart that's a must have:

I bought this one a couple weeks ago and its by far the best homebrew I've seen. Definitely $12 well spent.

I have an extra copy af Vaboom/Vectrace. Vaboom dosent load but Vectrace still works on it. If you want it, pay the shipping and Ill send it over.

That link is cool, I will get that one for sure. The Vectrace would be cool. Thanks.

I just got this Vectrex home. Played my first game. it has Mine Storm installed on it no card?? Do all the vectrex systems have Mine Storm installed?

Its really cool. it only has 1 controller, the picture is awesome. will look great after I clean it up. it was on craigslist for 25 bucks:cool:

Yep, they all have Mine Storm built in, great Asteroids clone. If you want a second controller there are ways to hack a Sega Genesis controller, heres a website that has all the info on that:

You stole it for $25, especially if it has games/overlays with it. What all did you get?

Just got the system and 1 controller. So all I can play is Mine Storm. its fun. There are 4 buttons. Not sure what button 1 does? 2 is hyperspace 3 is thrusters and 4 is fire.

The system is in great shape, picture is awesome just need to clean it up.

+1 for loving Andy's 72-in-1 cart. Great product. You *just* missed his sale on "naked" carts (no plastic case) for only 19.99 British pound (I believe). Great deal. Make your own case out of a candy tin!

I've also got the Protector/YASI cart. Protector is quite a faithful Defender clone.

Also got a VecVox, VecFlash, & Animaction, which is the one & only game not on the 72-in-1 cart (it has extra memory).

On the hardware side, I've got the Madtronix 3D imager, a 2nd controller, & every original overlay except Polar Rescue, which costs way too much & comes up way too infrequently on eBay... :\

It's a great little system--if the buzz is annoying, look up the buzz fix (the thorough one that requires adding a small board to the motherboard, not the simple ground wire cut fix, which did diddly for me...).

I have the vectrex multicart, and personally think the flash cart would be a better investment. It lets you update with newer roms as they come out. Although the overall number of games loaded to the cart is fewer than the multicarts. Can't find any for sale anywhere though.
