Vectrex monitor for Zektor ZVG 160.00 shipped conUSA

Wondering what to do with that ZVG while you gather up parts for your Multivector?

I have a fully working Vectrex vector gaming console with the correct cable installed to plug straight into that ZVG and play!

See a video of me playing Red Baron on this exact unit. Awesome! I am using the WinXP version of vectormame here.

Vectrex will also come with a floppy joystick and Cosmic Chasm, so you can play carts as well. You will have to unplug the ZVG cable (3 jumpers) and plug in the original wires if you want to do that, why would you? Vectormame is way cooler.

Everything will be packed with care, using plenty of padding in a nice sturdy box.

Lots of buzz about "multivector".....
Funny thing is that this all happened because Zonn wanted to play Asteroids on his tiny Vectrex display years ago. Not sure he invisioned "multivector control panels" happening one day...
Not all vector games will play like the originals in mame, no matter what one does, the ZVG card just bogs framerates on some games and I really believe at this point that there is NO workaround. I am using my ZVG as a replacement for Battlezone boards in my Battlezone mini and completely given up on the "multivector" concept altogether. I can boot directly to BZ and have no lag or framerate issues on an old Dell celeron 2.4 ghz and I have saved my P4 2.4 "AAE/ZVG rig" for a future trackball mame. The OS is NOT the issue, it's the ZVG card itself! This comes from Zonn himself!
Many games will play really nice and smooth though but I doubt MH and SW will ever play perfect on any ZVG setup, no one will post a video, so I'm pretty sure I have this nailed.
Good luck with the sale!

So, which games have framerate issues and which ones don't? Thank you for the info, I'm pretty late to the ZVG party.

As many great remakes/ports (GCE and homebrew) as there are on the Vectrex, unfortunately the Vectrex by itself can't replicate every great vector game. Sometimes you'll get remakes that replicate raster graphics too, but that's besides the point...

Seeing Red Baron played on a Vectrex monitor is beyond awesome! I would love to try out this ZVG and Vector MAME, however it would be the sweetest kind of redemption to have a Vectrex play/or act as the monitor for an Atari vector game (I mean the originals not the remakes, but a great example of gameplay 1-upping is Gravitar/Gravitrex Plus. I prefer Gravitrex myself, though Gravitar has pretty colors, horizontal aspect ratio, and an arguably better control panel...both games are mean in different ways). The Vectrex monitor can't do all of them, I know...

Time for a Vectrex MkII!

I'll take it,

Seeing the Red Baron on the little screen makes me want to get my BIG screen version going. Looks fun! Thanks for posting the video. Good luck with the sale.
