VectorVGA Tempest available

Sent an email to be put on the list. I put a VectorVGA into a Tempest a couple years back and just a week or two ago did some service for that same customer on some of his pinball machines. Tempest is still running strong. I've got a Tempest cab in the shop with no monitor and I'll probably die before I find a loose color vector to throw in it, so I want in on it.

Sigh. Never any response. So I guess I have a Tempest board to sell.

I see a lot of peeps saying they'll never find a 6100.
I CALL BS.
Either you're too cheap to buy one at the going rate or are too lazy to search proper. Or don't poses the skill to part one together.
Still plenty out there in hoards.
At least if you are in the CONUS that is.
Pretty sure its the KLOV people being cheap bastards as usual. I've watched several recent thread's whining about finding a 6100 then someone chimes in they have one . And the op is still looking almost immediately after.

It doesn't matter. The company doesn't exist anymore, even if you're willing to pay the high prices for one of these it could end up becoming a brick the next day and there is zero warranty or support.

I was hoping to find one that would support both Tempest and Star Wars, that might be worth a little money, but I wouldn't pay full price for something with no support. I'd rather just buy an upright cabinet and use that.

What is the going rate for a 6100? Where can I get one ?

You must have connections that the rest of us don't.

Parts to build one DO come up for sale more than a few times a year if you are attentive and really want one and if sitting around waiting doesn't work for you then post a WTB and be prepared to pay what the seller wants.

I've built two from consumer tubes on which I rewound the yokes myself and board sets put together piecemeal from members selling parts here.

And of course there is no warranty after 40 years (and decades of the company being gone anyway) but there certainly is a treasure trove of support in both parts available and wisdom just here on this forum.

If you don't have one then you haven't put in the effort, have terrible timing, or just don't want it badly enough.

This right here.

For myself, they either came with their intended game or…
I cobbled enough used parts, tube included to make one.
Franken one together with new components. (Alan 1 parts, 100 degree tv tube, and brand new HV )
Or find the occasional whole one.
Had to have a good eye, but all the parts do come up from time to time.
Seems like loose 6100s can range from 600$ to over 1k$ depending on condition, screen burn etc.
None of my Vector gear really came from any "connections" just watched and randomly sourced.
I also do know of someone selling a couple NOS ones close to my area . Pretty sure he's still got em due to price.
