Vector Raid

Here's another one that came out of Kalan's raid:

This was the roughest of the bunch. Turns out these were laminated from the factory (not paint or vinyl but actual hard laminate). The laminate along the bottom edge is broken up and peeling. Some of it is just gone.

Still, it's an awesome, rare game so it's worth whatever effort it takes to get it back in shape and working once again.

Nice! I'd be interested in some Tac Scan parts if any of it is for sale.

Wow... I remember playing Tac Scan on the Atari 2600, and loved that game. I had no idea it was an arcade game, let alone a vector!

Guess what just got added to my "want list". :D

(I dug up some gameplay footage on YouTube... so... yeah... definitely want that game)

Tac Scan is a fantastic game. Hopefully one falls in my lap sometime in the near future, or the Scott's FPGA is able to implement this.

An amazing find! This is, most likely, the system used by Exidy for development. The board has 8K X 8 of TMS4044 Static RAM which takes the place of the CCPU PROMs. Their development system (whatever it was) would plug into the other 24 pin sockets allowing them to put their code into the RAM and run it. As is it's useless, but it's still a fascinating piece of history.

Great find and glad to hear these are being saved.

More vector goodness

So I went back to get the rest of the games and to my surprise he found more parts. A complete boxing bugs boardset, another Tailgunner boardset and the best part is an original War of the worlds boardset along with Bezel and screen gel. There was also a clay Sega multi kit.

Not bad for "oh yeah this stuff too."

There was also a clay Sega multi kit.

Well except for that.

Just kidding! I have one of these and a SW/ESB kit that are about to be old enough to drive.

This thread is like a youtube sink hole; an hour later you wonder where the time went. Tail gunner, Boxing Bugs, War of the Worlds ... I could spend at least rest of the day researching all these cinematronics games i had no idea about.

Thanks for sharing Kalan and obviously nice raid there!

Wow, what an awesome raid!

Those Ampli tubes with the brackets still attached make me wonder what happened to the Star Wars cabinets they were in...

Marc.

The issue I have with this thread is that it's like reading a Playboy mag - all pics and no substance. Would like to know the backstory of where the games/parts came from and the circumstances and major players on both sides.
