What's the mechanical difference between a vector and raster monitor? Is it the PCB's/deflection boards or the tubes... or both? I'm just curious. Google wasn't very helpful.

Everything but the tube
Just for the hell of it. I was always under the impression that the tube was also different. That and there was a rumor about someone here making new monitors- i didn't know if this was possible. Everywhere you go on the net it says vector monitors haven't been made since the 80's. While I know that, all the articles lead one to believe it's a special tube that can't be made any more.
Cool, thanks.
Most vector monitors are 110 Degree deflection angle (TV Tubes are 90 deg)
Amplifone was still 90 Degree, so could supposedly use a regular tube as a replacement (Provided the original yoke fits over the neck snugly)
