I've been trying to read up on vector monitors recently and thought I read that a BW Vector monitor basically uses the same tube as a BW Raster monitor, so in theory if you find the correct tube you could use it in either. Assuming that I'm correct in that thinking (which I know I may not be, feel free to correct me), could you use a color raster tube as a tube in a color vector monitor?

Yes it's true

BUT

You need the correct yoke (so also the same neck size), the same HV compatability, the correct deflection angle, and the correct pin configuration

Other than that all is sweet! :)

Correct. There is no fundamental difference between vector and raster tubes - they're both the same, the difference is in the yoke and driving electronics. With that said, however, the WG6100 and Electrohome G08 both used 100 degree deflection tubes, which aren't as common as 90 degree tubes. All color raster game monitors use 90 degree tubes. Some TV's, however, have that 100 degree tube.

The Amplifone used a 90 degree tube, and you can swap in a standard tube from a G07 or a TV or whatnot - it'll work. Some Amplifone monitors (but not all) shipped with a medium res tube, so the standard tube might look a little coarser, but it will work.

Interesting, thanks for the answers guys! LOL, getting ahead of myself, I don't even own a color vector game...yet.
