I'm looking to do a color vector monitor build. Have an idea for a horizontal vector cabaret but the first step to that is getting a monitor.

So for a donor tube though I've got a Panasonic CT-9023 19" TV lying around that has pretty good picture. I've used it for retro gaming but wouldn't mind swapping it out for Trinitron or something.

The tube in it is an 510ABYB22 with a CR23 connector. Current yoke measured 2.3 H and 14.5 W.

Is this a good candidate for a donor after getting the yoke rewound? I know Matsushita arcade monitors aren't particularly liked from looking around but that seems more like a chassis problem combined with them using C30 tubes.

Trinitron won't work. Not suitable for a vector conversion. I had good results with a 2000-vintage Orion TV (Walmart Black Friday special, so there are a lot of them out there).

I think he's saying he'd switch to Trinitron for consoles, etc and wants to use the Matsushita tube from his Panasonic tv for the vector project.

That's what I was getting at.

Did see your project, looked great!

I did also see a 90's Goldstar around on FB marketplace, don't think I'll be quite so lucky to find a NIB set, lol. Really just figured I'd ask since I have this one but obviously don't wanna go through all the trouble of getting the yoke rewound if it's not an ideal option.
