I have an Armor attack machine and am having an issue. When I power it up the red LED on the board lights for 1 second and goes out, it will not stay lit. Also I am tripping both breakers CB1 3 amp and CB2 3 amp. I get words across the screen right when I power up for a split second then the screen goes black. Sometimes it also does something where the left half of the screen is black and the right side is bright white then the breakers trip but it does not happen every time the game is turned on. Thoughts?

the light is supposed to blink once and go out.

does the entire game go dead when the breakers trip? Might be a problem somewhere else in your game.

Unplug the monitor, turn it on, and see if the breakers still trip...

The game does nothing at all before the breakers trip. The marquee lights up and then you here both breakers trip one at a time. I have unplugged it and turned it back on numerous times with no change.

You need to unplug everything - board, marquee, coin door, monitor, etc - then power up and see if the breakers trip. If so, you have a power supply (or wiring to or from) problem. if not, then plug in each thing one at a time while power testing in between. Once you figure out which area is blowing the breakers, then you can find the problem...

Thank you sir!! Working on it now

Yeah, I believe those breakers are for +/-25, which I think are just used by the monitor.

If you haven't, you should also read:
http://www.outerworldarcade.com/arcade/cinematronics/manuals/cine_faq_v096.pdf

Be careful what order you plug and unplug... according to the faq you can screw up your monitor by powering it up w/o a working CPU, because the floating inputs going to the DACs cause the monitor to try to draw outside the normal range which blows stuff up.

I would also start by replacing the chassis transistors with the ones the FAQ recomends. They could be your problem and if they are not they will at least be upgraded.

Well, all of the upgrade components recommended have been replaced and just as I suspected I am having the same problems only difference being that now only breaker 1 is tripping instead of both and I still have the screens pictured below. Also sometimes I get the words PLAYER ONE accross the screen at power up ,but only for a split second. I did all of the monitor upgrades as suggested by the manual, all four deflection transistors, all radial caps, axials, tantalums and all 1N4004 diodes and I still am getting nothing out of it while tripping breaker 1 every once in awhile. Breaker 1 trips only when the screen looks like the picture all the way to the right.
