Figured I'd quote this here, for the record. Ebay seller is vehpartsman, and the asking price is 30K for the lot.

Do we know who this is?

only guy i can think of that owns a Warrior on the east coast is jeff @ videotopia, he's known as pat9000 here on klov, but this ebay is listed in new york, so probably not him...

Only 10 grand too high.

I believe it's the I don't want to sell these rare games, but if someone will force me it'll cost $30K price. I don't know what Warriors are worth personally, but a Varkon in that shape is $10K+ by itself and Havocs are up around $6K these days with a really nice one going for $9K not too long ago. So if a nice Warrior is about the same or a little north of a nice Havoc, $30K isn't too far off. I think $20K is too low, but if it were market, it would be the bottom. That Varkon is exceptional. I believe it only has one, not-so-great pic on purpose.

Tom Marvolo Riddle

Seriously though, I sure would love to get that Varkon!

So good that we can't speak his name?

(Or does it speak for itself?)

I'd guess resipsa (spelling?)
Someone is selling a bunch of his games on here too, but i dont think those three were on the list (but some even rarer stuff was, like the proto bubbles mini)

Yes, hence my reference to his name.

A forum search shows a similar game room (and perhaps the same Food Fight, to the left in the ebay pic).

Note I'm not intentionally trying to out the guy. I don't know him or have any opinion, but I just didn't know if there was some reason for secrecy. It's just interesting to know where rare games are in the community.

Yepper!

It is resipsa and I have sold several of his games for him. Many are still available. See the thread.

His post for these three is a total lark. As someone said, he doesn't want to sell those but for the right price he would.

Pricing really isn't off at all...Varkon is 10k+ anyday, dedicated Major Havoc is 6-9k and Warrior is 5-8k. These are also stellar examples of each.

Ah, i didnt get the translation reference (i guess i need to learn latin)

I don't think its a matter of not wanting to be "outed", if i recall correctly he left the forum in the last year or two and therefore wouldnt be posting about it here

Wow, I totally missed that thread.

Given that it's an outraged "I'm out of here" type post, I'm guessing there was a bunch of drama that I wasn't aware of...

That's a shame; he seemed like a good guy.
