Well I have not had much luck on the 6 player X-Men machine I got a month or so back. I have to shout a big thanks to PrarieDillo for fixing the sound on it but there are other problems that have cropped up, all since I had left on vacation out of the country three weeks ago. But now that I am back, I'm ready to work on it.

Issues:

Right-side monitor is out, no glow from the image. Haven't been able to move the cabinet to remove the back cover. irritating though as it was the nice looking monitor that supposedly had been shopped before they sent me the game. I presume I should look for the standard stuff - make sure its getting power, neck glow, check for puffy caps but not sure what else I might want to look for. Are the monitors powered by separate power supplies? This would be the monitor that should be getting the image from the JAMMA connector, not the 5-prong molex that goes to the left monitor.

The game resets at random. No clue why that is so any help/advice to point me in the right direction would be great.

The game had been resetting when a player inserted a coin but I think we found a short that had caused that problem.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear your 6 player is on the fritz. For the monitor issue, yes it is powered from a separate isolation transformer so make sure the 120 is getting to the monitor. Since you had it shipped it could be bad solder joints. I had a K7000 chassis I bought working that was dead until I reflowed the flybck pins on it so hopefully it's something simple like that. Have you checked the +5 at the pcb (as far as the game resetting issue)?

Not yet, I just needed a starting point really of what to look for on these issues and that is great. I will check those and let you know.
