Alright, I see there are a few other guys needing MB WB parts as well, So it might be a little harder to find some of these but I'm gonna list them anyway.

Parts needed:

Main wiring harness = Partially aquired :luigi:
Original Nintendo speaker = aquired :mario:
CP harness
Sanyo 20 EZ chassis preferably not capped as I will go through it anyway.
MB PCB = aquired :mario:
MB side art*
MB WB CPO*
orange and blue Nintendo button parts (I have a bunch of mismatched parts and would like to make a few complete buttons from them)
* I know I can buy these new, I'm just listing it anyway (you never know)

I have a VS harness if someone wants to trade.
I also have a bunch of used Asahi coin mech plates in various condition.
I have a bunch of Nintendo parts that I'd be willing to trade but not sell....just yet anyway :)

PM me with what you have and if your willing to trade I may have what you seek.
I will pay cash for all items listed as well.
Thanks,
Greg

Sorry I can't help you out Greg.

If you already have the WB marquee in good condition, that's a good thing. I still can't find one without the 2-player bubble in decent shape. The one I have I got from a KLOV member really cheap, but it has a bad crack in it. It will definitely show when it lights up.

Good luck on getting all the parts!

Thanks man!
I was lucky I guess as the WB cab I just picked up had all the major cosmetic pieces intact.
The bad thing is on the inside of the cab I found some marquee ends like someone had cut a WB marquee to fit a regular cab??? :( The cab is really rough and it will probably end up being my most extensive restore to date. But it will be worth it in the long run.
I looked to see if I had any of the chips you're looking for but all of mine are accounted for.
If I run across one it'll have your name on it bro.

Don't feel bad man - we are in the same boat. I picked up a widebody over the weekend, and it has all cosmetics (marquee, bezel, CPO overlay - it's in bad shape though and the controls aren't original) and power supply, harness and the coin door/box. Otherwise, it is gutted.

The plywood is rough and will require quite a bit of bondo, and I have no back door or monitor (or brackets).....good grief it's a hurting unit now that I think about it...

It's going to be an extensive restore, but I can already "see" it done and it'll be awesome when it is - quite rare and a great addition to "nintendo row"... LOL.

I've got a working PCB and have ordered new sideart and a new CPO overlay, but otherwise I'm needing the same basic parts as you - good luck on finding them and if you can turn them up please share the love and I'll do the same - there has to be more than one set of everything out there, but man they are hard to find.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread - I just wanted to share some grief with a fellow restorer... ;) Take care and good luck and have fun w/ it!

Thats a little ways from you though, huh?

Yeah, it's a little up there from me but not too bad.
If I would have known I woulda picked it up while I was at CAX.
I just picked up a project cab this weekend and drove pretty far down South to get it.
It's in bad shape and needs some love. I guess I can say I'll be bringing another cab back from the brink of death. Here's a pic

Shes rough for sure but it'll be that much more gratifying when she's fully restored.
I'm going all out on this one.

Thank you sir, and likewise.
If I run across any duplicate parts I'll let you know...

Updated list + bump

Parts still needed:

Main wiring harness
Original Nintendo speaker (square)
CP harness
Sanyo 20 EZ chassis preferably not capped as I will go through it anyway.
MB PCB = aquired :mario:
MB side art*
MB WB CPO*

BTW - that piece of MW marquee was spacing the Bubble Bobble marquee when I got it. Yup, someone cut the MB marquee just to space a regular size marquee in the game.

Out of curiosity - and because I'm in the same boat as well - how do you plan to remove the scratches from the bezel? Is there any type of polishing compound that can be used on the plexi to buff it and minimize the visible scratches? I see a couple in yours, and mine has a few on it as well.

Thanks!

If the scratches are deep, what I do is start with wetsand 240 grit and go over it until you can no longer see the scratches but you have to try to keep your sanding even over the whole surface , (circular motion). Then switch to Wetsand 400 then 600, 800, 1000, 1500, then 2000. I like to do it in a sink and let the water run over it while sanding. Finally I use a buffer then some plastic cleaner/polish and shine it up. Finally I use pledge for a final shine. It's a lot of work but it's worth it. If the scratches aren't that deep you don't have to start with such a coarse grit. 800 then up will work. I've actually done one for a friend and he swore up and down that It wasn't the same bezel.

Thanks a lot for the info - definitely good stuff and lays it out perfectly as to the process to go by. Just one additional question - and this comes directly from me being a n00b and never having done this before, and I think it goes without saying, but hey - I need to know for sure.....

I'm going to assume that you wetsand/polish only the clear plexi portion and stay away from the screenprinted portion - correct?

I know we are talking about very fine sandpaper, but I just want to make sure that I am not to touch the screenprinted part.

Thanks!

Yes. Stay away from the screen printed art with the sand paper.
However, when polishing I go over the artwork a couple of times as it seems to "brighten" it up.

Gotcha - thanks a lot man - it's much appreciated. At least now I know what I have to do and what my process should be.
