There were 2424 VAPS members that hadn't updated their VAPS profiles in over a year. Some accounts were inactive for as long as 7 years.

Last week, we emailed them all. 327 of these members came online almost immediately and updated their profiles ;) 458 of these accounts turned out to be email addresses that were no longer valid, and have been marked as such.

A week later now, we've taken all VAPS data offline that has been inactive over 3 years (profiles from 1258 members).

There are still 2 main pending things to do.

1) 1 or 2 pages pages sometimes report different stats from the rest of the site as to how many members have a certain game. The difference has to do with members that just have board sets and not complete games. It's a known issue that will soon be fixed.

2) For 2 months now, email addresses of other VAPS members have not been available on VAPS. We started getting complaints that a user here was misusing VAPS. As such, the feature was taken down until additional security precautions could be taken. It is planned that the ability to contact other users will return in December via a Contact User form. Then the member receiving the inquiry will have the option on a case by case basis as to whether they wish to release their email address.

In leiu of email addresses being display in VAPS, we just added a contact member form. During the test period you can contact up to 2 VAPS members per week. Very soon that limit will be more flexible...
