The machine, and the monitor does turn on but the PCB does nothing, the lights stay solid red. I assume the power supply?

power supply insight: https://www.arcaderepair.net/mechas-essential-power-supply-guide-remastered/

I believe Seattle games just don't run if the hard drive is bad. listen for the hard drive to spin up or if it's making any abnormal noises. the power on self test might still run with no hard drive. I'll try to dig up the dipswitch settings for that.

there's also a procedure for how the LEDs flash on the board, they'll tell where the boot process is getting.

yeah, I forgot this is an Atari game and they don't believe in utilizing dipswitches. you can throw a hail mary and use the settings from NFL Blitz 2000 and see if the power on self test works.

U8 switch 7 OFF (ignore the others)

I'm curious if it catches. if so and the hard drive is bad it will say so.

In my case it doesn't even start to boot - nothing to do with the hard drive. Sounds like that's the case for him but he didn't explicitly say that so I could be wrong.

yeah my Blitz 99 I didn't store it in bubble wrap and dinged up legs of one of the 3Dfx chips. it would just boot loop and be black screen. lol I fixed it some time later with a regular soldering iron and it's running in the game at work daily just fine now. so PSA to everyone: don't store your boards in just pink bags, they need to be insulated against mayhem too. LOL

and unfortunately yes this is another instance where I wish it was in front of me. you can only help so much based on the information you're provided.

I will be testing it again later because I'm away from it right now, but I will test it asap

I would think this would be my problem, but the game actually died while being tested... It just... cut off suddenly

UPDATE: I traded it for an Arctic Thunder... also broken
