My weekend pickup, a Vanguard for $120!

She looks beautiful and plays pretty well. Got a sound issue- none at the start and 'vulcans theme' sounds a little weird. Need to check power.

But I am happy, have a nice little Centuri collection building up here :)
T&F, Phoenix, Gyruss, and now vanguard. Need a tail gunner!!

Don't ever remember playing this in the arcade, but I played the hell out of it on my atari.

It is a real fun game! I am really liking it a lot.

the local Pizza Hut had one of these back in the day...i probably spent as much in it as i did pac man over the years...very fun game.

Great game. I started to get into a bit during the past Funspot/ACAM tournament when it was in the Centuri manufacturer's challenge that I ended up winning and Vanguard was my favorite of the 5 to play that weekend.

Yep, 2600 is what I remember playing it on- could you use 2 joysticks to play, or is that my imagination?

But remembering it on 2600 so well and not playing the arcade then seeing this now is like seeing some super graphically updated version of an old memory.

Nice game.
Great price.
Hard to say no to a wonderful game like that.

+1. Vanguard is painfully underrated. Great game, the speech adds tons of ambience. Some killer graphics (Kemlus) and colors. Level 2 is much more difficult than level 1.

Check the -5 on the sound board.
