Value of Sorcerer Pinball? *Link Included*

Im looking at this game that just got posted:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/tag/2113997481.html

Wondering if its in fact worth $800.
Ive asked that he send detailed pics of the playfield, as I understand it becomes trashed very easily.

Thanks in advance!

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it unless it was in spectacular condition with no flaking on the backglass or major playfield wear. I am not sure it's a "keeper" unless you have sentimental attachment for that title.

i found mine working for $300 locally. it has a perfect backglass but a worn playfield. another just SOLD on craigslist for $500 that my coworker called about about 50 miles from us. id say 800 is tip top dollar for one. too much

Well, he is not budging on price and here is what he wrote to me about the machine:

The lane change doesn't work, and one display is a little lite or dim, could put it on player 4. One of the bumper cap artwork is not the correct but at least its red to match.Only one plastic is cracked (center). Their is some ware on the lower left playfield I took a pic of. Also someone had put milar over the playfeild. The back glass is nice, just little scuff marks around one display window. Cabinet is strong, no water damage. Boards are good no battery damage. I have a maual for it and 3 decals for the drop targets. The other round targets have new decals already on.

I hope he contacts me if it doesnt sell for what he wants.

The playfields on these are almost always badly worn in spots. Maybe $800 if it had very little to no playfield wear and had no issues. He will never get $800 for that game. Wait a few weeks then offer him $500. Oh, and anyone who thinks Sorcerer isn't a really good pin has probably not played it enough. It is highly underated and very addicting. Definitly a keeper.

FYI- The lane change is an integral part of gameplay so the board will have to be repaired and those score displays are not cheap.

Very good condition and working 100% its worth around 800-1000.I would offer him 700 for the one he is selling

EVen $700 is way too much for one with those issues and some playfield wear, unknown (assume fair?) condition cabinet. Any more than $500 is probably overpaying.

Maybe,But how many times do you come across a Sorcerer Pin?

ive saw so many sorcerer pinballs for sale locally to me in pittsburgh, pa and philly areas. at least 5 of them. 1 of them i bought, my coworker called for another and i keep seeing them. personally i want a game you dont see for sale all the time. i wouldnt pay over $500 for that sorcerer......MAYBE over 500 if sorcerer was the game you played as a child. dude, for 800 dollars that is like talking someone down on a $1000 dot matrix pinball of your CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone locally had a rescue 911 pinball totally working for $675 OBO. that machine quickly sold at that price. shop around man!

I think sorcerer is one of my favorite pins. seriously.

Not worth 800 with all that wrong though, the lane change feature is important
