Bob Roberts asked me. He has a replacement for Gottlieb machines but wanted to make sure Qbert was the same value as what he has. Can anyone help me out?

Sorry Phet, it required moving a bunch of stuff to get to my machine.
Hi Phet,
Did you get the big Cap off of Bob? I would like to order one as well, what do i ask for?
Thanks,
Yep. Just tell him you need the big Gottlieb PSU Cap for a Qbert.
I had one of these caps go bad once. It kept taking out the bridge rectifier and I finally narrowed the problem down to the cap. Replaced the cap and its been good to go since. I used one off a taito PS since it was close enough in value.
Also, the aluminum ring terminals sometimes get broken and you cant solder them to repair them.
I just got done swapping in the new one. I had to find the right number screws with short enough shafts and with the right (fine) threads to make the new one work, as Bob doesn't include the screws, and the old cap has solder tabs. I just desoldered the wires, then the old diode and soldered it across 2 new 'O' crimp connectors, then crimped the O connectors onto the wires, screwed them down to the proper terminals and it worked like a dream. Grounded my CPU board, removed the ground from my monitor and I STILL have interference on the monitor. I have:
-recapped the monitor
-removed the ground
-grounded the CPU
-replaced the big blue capacitor
-replaced the linear supply with the new AS switcher
and I still have interference rods scrolling thru the monitor. I give up.
Should be a 200 ohm resistor across that cap, not a diode.
Brown and banded? If so I misspoke and it is a resistor. Anyhoo, I used the old one. I'll try pulling the ground straps off of the filter board and soundboards.
