Last week had a home service call for a Cougar HB dart game. The game works fine except when playing 01 games against Ernie (computer opponent). If Ernie busts, all player darts bust until Ernie goes out. This happens whether singgle out, double out, etc. Tried swapping PS, no change. We never operated Valley boards, so my best guess is a pcb issue, possibly EPROM. The rest of the game works fine. It's worth noting that at some point someone bridged a blown fuse at F1 (we don't carry auto fuses) and the customer does not know what caused it to blow in the first place.

Any ideas?

worked on arachnids mostly myself. So, the first thing to came to my mind was a power surge or ....? that caused the ram to be corrupted. Start by clearing out all ram of possible garbage stored and causing problems. Go back to clear out all stats,etc....
