Ive got a v2000 that looks to have vertical collapse, half way down the screen (top half of screen is collapsed) I have done a cap kit, and rebuilt the X & Y deflection, checked for cold solder joints, replaced the transistors, ect. I havent removed the 2 ceramic resistors yet, is it really necessary? Also heres the strange part, While in attract mode only, I will lose high voltage to the tube for a few seconds, and then it will come back on, and then after a few seconds, itll go off and come back on again. But only in attract mode. If i play a game I wont lose high voltage.
Ive checked the main pcb, power supply, ect in another game and its all good. So its definitely the monitor. Only thing i havent messed with is the high voltage supply on the monitor. Not quite sure where to start there. I didnt figure that would have anything to do with missing the top half of the screen. Am I wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks!
