Just got back my V 2000 it had V collapse replaced the caps, flowed solder, cleaned and made sure the wires looked tight. But is now with a weird screeching noise. has neck glow but nothing cannot see any arching, sparks spot light etc. Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue. Was more of a hiss than a screech along with a faint smell. It ended up being one of the transistor wires was too close to the flyback and was arcing. I couldn't see it with the HV cover on even with the lights out. Once I removed the cover and powered back up I was able to see a very faint arcing. I moved the wire and found some of the insulation had burnt away. Cut the wire and inserted some heat shrink tubing, reconnected and powered back up and all was good again.

Okay I turned it on and smelt a very faint burn so I shut it off again. Maybe it is an arcing of some kind near or on the high voltage so I'm going to have to take that apart and take a peek at it. I'm not really sure if it's just a yoke chatter. Although it kind of sounds like it it doesn't at the same time if that makes any

I got you, hard to discern. I'd look at the hv diode, flyback, resistors, and possibly the frame transistors.
