If USPS says "Shipping Information Recieved" but has not updated in like 4 days does this mean the seller never sent the package and only bought the label?

I know FedEx and UPS update atleast a couple of times a day. And it only says that for UPS if you buy the label online and havent dropped it off at a UPS location yet. Have little experience with USPS I always use UPS.

Starting to get a little concerned with a "arcade related transaction".

USPS tracking is complete garbage. I've had packages in the status you just listed stay in that status even AFTER the package was delivered (days.)

There is no rhyme or reason to how USPS tracking is updated or if it even works.

I've had countless USPS packages show up as 'no information' or 'waiting to be shipped' etc and the package was sitting in my hand - DELIVERED.

Its possible its in transit Ive had usps tracking never update even after being delivered. I would just keep an eye on it. Could always just contact the seller.

It could mean that or it could mean the package isn't being tracked for whatever reason. I've had that happen before and then the package is at my door. :dunno: I've also had it where all of a sudden all the past tracking information is updated.

This ^^^^

Just hope that you have an assigned carrier and aren't on an auxillary route like I am. I will no longer have any packages shipped to my home. I fucking hate the post office that my route was assigned to. They misdeliver my packages or lose/throw them away. It's funny how they blame their loss of business on the economy and e-mail and not on their horrible service. There is zero- 0 accountability. Try calling them on a lost package, if you didn't insure it then you're SOL, trust me. A lot of the old forms that you used to be able to file in order to start or keep a paper trail have vanished. You can no longer submit forms for lost packages, now you have to "call your local office", that means no paper trail...

I'll keep an eye on it I guess. Its a rather expensive purchase and of course am naturally concerned when something like this happens.

Im going to assume its our crappy US Postal Sevice and not a dishonest seller. Hopefully all is well but I'll definetely keep an eye out for it.

Its a KLOV transaction so at this point there it no need to go any further in depth.

If the return address is ram controls, no it wasn't sent :D

If USPS could just keep track of the packages being sent and not loose them, maybe they wouldn't loose business to Fedex or UPS. I had a package arrive at my local Post office (Priority mail, delivery conformation) in 3 days. it was delivered to a week later. They lost it in their own facility. How do you loose a medium flat rate box in your own facility...

Usps does not use 'tracking' numbers..they are delivery confirmation numbers. Thus you only get the first and last scans.

For some packages, I have received intermediate tracking information. I believe it depends whether they bother to scan it in or not as its processed.

Most don't seem to do so. With service like that, no wonder they're going broke...

Im dealing with the same thing right now except its a package going to australia, buyer claims he never got it and paypal took $200.00 from my account. usps.com shows the package is still in houston after 18 days. there is no tracking/confirmation for international shipping thru usps :( ups from now on for me unless i know the buyer.

If you upgrade to priority international you can get tracking, but the number provided for first class is not a tracking number, it customs' inquiry number.

If the post office neglects to scan which they do at least 20% of the time the info won't be updated. I have had packages that were marked as delivered show up two days later, I have had packages never scanned show up. It's all a guessing game.

I would stress out. When was the package shipped? By what method? and from where to where?

First class across the country 10 days, priority up to four.
