The Postal service sucks. It's no wonder they are loosing money, they keep loosing packages. I ordered from Jammaparts.net, had it shipped Priority mail. The USPS web site said 2-3 days, Expected Delivery date MArch 3, 2011 Guess what no package. I went to the post office to check on it and they tell me that the updated are updated by the computer and they have no control over it, it should be delivered tomorrow. That was Friday, No Package.
I go back to the post office to see what the problem is and no one knows where it is. The postal clerk takes my name and number and tells me the supervisor would call me, that was 3pm. 6pm rolls by with no call. I go back today and talk to the supervisor and he said he will have to talk to the carrier who is off today, so he will see him on monday. Do you think he is going to remember what he did on thursday and friday, and if he even saw the package. All I'm going to say about the post office is that they have no clue where anything is and it's a miracle we get anything delivered.

Really small, light boxes with parts not worth that much is alright with USPS because it's cheaper and easier on the front end. But... on the BACK END, UPS blows postal away with automatically tracked and insured ground packages. Even if your ground package gets "stuck" in a blizzard, you should always know exactly where it is and when it can be expected to ship. With USPS I just hope and pray that it arrives eventually and is not broken when I get it.
And technically, you can get a refund if your ground package is not delivered when they said it would, even if it IS delivered, as long as there were no severe weather events or some other minor excuse not to pay up. UPS Stores make big money back from UPS this way.
FedEx keeps Billions in unclaimed delivery refunds each year.
USPS refund? Good luck!
