After the long discussion last week about how USPS sucks, the correct way to ship fragile parts, and a lot of guys sharing their horror stories, I was very worried after I ordered an original replacement monitor front glass for one of my red tent monitors.

It arrived here in California in one piece all the way from Florida. As discussed, the condition of parts upon arrival is really dependent on how well they are packaged.

With that said, this seller did an excellent job packaging and I know for fact, based on the condition of the box, that the glass would have broke if he hadn't. He tightly sandwiched the glass in between stiff cardboard, taped it up, put it in a box and stuffed it to the brim with packing peanuts.

I'm happy and relieved. :)

Yep, packing is the key to survival in the shipping jungle... I bought a bezel from Timberterror last year, and he actually sandwiched it between two pieces of plywood! And it wasn't even glass! Every time I read about (or see in person) an item damaged by UPS or USPS or FedEx, I'm reminded of that scene from Ace Ventura... :D
