Using this stuff for clear-coating?

it won't hold up..
I use this varnish when doing spot repairs/airbrushing
it will blend in with the original clearcoat on very small spots (smaller than 1cm by 1cm)
on larger parts I notice wear starting to show up after a while, then it needs to be protected by mylar

I doubt if you do a whole playfield with this, it'll hold up and stay perfect for a long time..
if you do the whole trouble of stripping everything, have it clearcoated by a professional with 2-component clearcoat

2-component clearcoat

the two component clearcoat REACTS with the surface and bonds to it permanently

the product you linked to will coat the surface but after a year will it just peel up ?

you want that reaction with the surface. sanding the playfield before spraying helps with the bonding. ten years from now, it wont peel up without taking the playfield paint with it

the DUPONT product i use is very bad stuff. it produces an isocyanate gas, you dont want it on your skin and especially in your eyes and your open mouth. it is attracted to wet things like your eyes and lungs
