using a 25 inch std res chassis in a 29 inch tri res

I have a 29 inch nanao tri res monitor that has a non working chassis with a bad flyback. I'm wondering if I can use a 25 inch WG K7000 chassis with this tube. I'm pretty sure that the 25 inch chassis won't adjust to fit the whole screen, but I would like to find a temporary solution so that I can use my candy cab. The biggest thing that I'm worried about is damaging the chassis or 29 inch tube. Has anyone ever done this before?

Prob. won't work man... the tri res chassis is going to use a special yoke to pull all that off, and it won't be within the tolerance of the K7000.

If you had a 29" (don't think they made one, but maybe) K7000 you could put a 25" board on it, and it just wouldn't fill the screen, I've ran 19" ones on 25" tubes before to test.

I'm pretty sure though that the tri res yokes are kind of special and won't work on the standard res. K7000.

thanks for the reply. I'm just going to try to rig up something for the time being in order to mount my 25 inch tube and chassis in the cabinet. I will eventually order a replacement chassis, but I need to do some more digging before I decide which chassis to order.
