Used CRT's in Reno

Probably all gonna have video poker burn in .

Can you use a touchscreen CRT as an arcade CRT monitor?

Don't see why not. I think the touch screen thing is just a plastic "film" over the face of the monitor. Just peel it off and toss it.

I suspect they are burned pretty bad too but it's hard to tell in the photos.

If they're out of video poker machines that are at all recent (from the last 20 years) they're most likely VGA monitors and won't work for an arcade machine...

I sent an email to them asking for a few model numbers..
We will see if they can be useful for our old arcade machines..

Even if they are VGA if you can get a few pallets of 13" with no or minimal screen burn that would be a good start for making some 13" XY monitors. :)

Hell, the chassis' alone make it worth the effort!

People are posting like these cost money... it's FREE. Holy heck man. If I had the truck and the space I'd be picking up a palette of these just on the off chance that they might work. lol

Heck they are even willing to forklift them right into your vehicle.

Exactly, "IF"...

I don't have the space to store them. But if I knew for a fact that they would work in my games, I'd still take the trip up to Reno and grab a pallet or two. But since I don't know, that's a lot of trouble for a bunch of (most likely) VGA monitors that would do me no good and I'd have to store or find a way to unload them...

I mean... there's a way to tell if they are VGA... so when you get there... find out if they are VGA and then if they are, don't load them up? lol

It would be weird to just pick them up blind without checking first. It's not like you are committing to take them just by going there. :)

That is about a half mile from where I work. If anyone is really interested, I can stop by and ask what they are. My guess is vga.

I would only care about the neck size and pin count. If a CR-23 socket fits on these, they could be potential sub tubes for Amplifones with Dez's PCB's. As long as the yoke isn't bonded to the tube.

I wonder how long of a drive it is from Sterling, KS to Reno. :)

My MapQuest says 1500 miles and 23 hours.

I would be curious.
If these could be used on games and are burn free I would probably send my buddy with my truck and trailer to go grab a few palates to distribute amongst the Phoenix peeps.
