hello all,

I have come across what I think is a Dokoben board, 89125-A-1/2 board by Capcom which shows only a white screen when plugged in. I assume it has suicided. The Mitsubishi branded eproms "PW 01" etc and "PWU 02" etc along with the board name 89125-A- 1/2 labels along with the AAMA hologram sticker lead me to this being Dokoben US version and very rare.

This does not appear to be a game I am interested in beyond selling it.

Curious if this would be worth getting revived or not, a rare game is really only worth it if there is demand after all and it looks like the encryption tables are not already available.

So..... price check... what is the value of the dead board? and what is the value of the pheonixed board? Is this worth the effort of reviving?

Thanks in advance!!

I though once it suicided it was gone forever. I thought it had to be phoenixed before it was too late? I'm probably wrong though. Besides that I can't see a Japanese baseball game being worth much or being sought after, it's probably isn't worth any effort.

from the research I've done they can be revived and process is not too difficult. thanks for your thoughts on the value too

The following games are pretty obscure, so I haven't bothered making up a replacement ROM set for them. If you need one of these fixed, drop me a note and I'll make a set.

Mahjong Gakuen 2 Gakuen-chou no Fukushuu
Dokaben...

Thanks yeah, I have already talked to him about this, he's quite busy and is not sure when he can get to it, but we did talk about the process to do this....
