So, what are people seeing a working, nice, original list/sell for?

I am seeing $700.00 or so for original in good condition. $1100.00 or so restored.

Probably around there...I'd put restored at higher. You can't buy a $700 Tron and restore it for $400...depending on what you consider "restored". Mine cost almost $800-900 just to restore it.

The $1100.00 could have been an original (like the $700.00 one). You are correct, depending on what "must be" replaced for the resto the $$ will vary quite a bit (just from the little I have looked into a resto). I have not priced out doing a detailed resto as it sounds like you did. Would you have a parts breakdown you could share. Definitely don't go to any trouble. I can put one together. I have a TRON that I need to pull out and look over - not to sell but to fix again for myself. It was working years ago and then got stored. I had added a toggle switch to the cabinet (just inside the coin door) so I could turn off the lights on the machine. At the time I was living at my parents (this was years ago, folks, and no, I don't still live in their basement - they don't have basements in that city because the water table is so high. :D ) and had the TRON in my bedroom and sometimes the light effect was just a bit bright. Added a switch and then I could turn the lights off/on at will and still play the game.

I am getting the "TRON fever" now. :D

Uh, no. :)

Where I live now there are no basements because there is rock just a few feet below. In some places in Austin (older houses from the early 1900's and before) there are basements. I so want a basement eventually. Or just a super huge house with a big arcade area. :)

no idea what they're selling for. I see working not in so nice condition listed for 1100-1500. My guess is only nice ones are selling in that range.

Yeah, a bunch of ebayers list theirs for crazy prices, but they never sell for that much. I recall seeing a truly fully restored one go for $1800. As for a price list, go to phoenixarcade.com and you'll get all of your cosmetic needs there. If your power supply is good, great, if not, get a switcher and adapter for $75 at arcadeshop.com. Groovygamegear.com will yield you a new joystick. Arcadeshop or quarterarcade can get you a new kickplate. Don't forget a new cap kit for your monitor. Oh yeah, T molding too for $20. Adds up quick!

For the record, I wouldn't expect a fully restored, working tron to sell for less than $1100. Wouldn't consider selling mine for less than $1200. And that's without a new movie coming out. The price is largely based on the cost of the repro art for the game.

Just bought a working TRON in "good' condition (solid cab, needs a lot of aesthetic love - new cpo, shroud, side art, spinner art, etc) for $300 from a fellow collector. Felt VERY lucky to get it for that price.

I sold mine a couple of weeks ago for $1,000 cash.
