If you have a Propcycle you might want to do this also. My fan on my Propcycle was all busted up when I got it, I replaced the rubber "sprocket" and the nylon bushings with a aluminum "sprocket" and ball bearings. The end result is a much quieter and better running fan.

Here is the end result:

Previous repair where I only replaced the rubber "sprocket"

Broken fan:

I just wanted to ask of this game is worth the space it takes up ? I know where one is for cheap and was wondering if I should get it

Very nice work as usual!

I've been thinking lately if something like those Dyson Air Multipliers could be modified for use in arcade games. Those are a bit pricey though so its probably cheaper to stick with traditional fans although in certain games I bet something like that could work.

That might blow you off the game :D Actually the stock fans are plenty powerful, in fact I get cold playing first thing in the morning until I get a good sweat going.

That's cool, Tighe. Nice work. I don't think my fan would benefit from it at this point because mine wasn't damaged. However, it would be cool if you'd document the parts you got and how you did it.

BTW, I don't think mine makes that "braking" noise. I'll have to check for that when I get a chance.

Post a video of it running if you get a chance.

First I was thinking what the hell is that fan cooling, but then I remembered the single time I played Propcycle and I remember the wind is blow towards the player to give some extra effect, I loved it :)

These crossbow fans would be great to install near the heat exit of cabs like SW. It may make axial fans aimed at the monitor boards unneeded and they run much quieter than axial one's.

They are pretty expensive though. Been thinking about getting one out of an old electrical heater, some have crossbow fans IIRC.

Good upgrade, this is invisible and makes it technically better, well done !
