Shit...if you could make HS save work for Marks kit, it may actually get me to BUY Marks kit! The only reason why I didn't (and went with Widels) is the lack of a HS save. What say you Mark? Wanna sell a few more 6-pacs?

I think a HHS for the 4-in-1 is a great idea. I've always hated that Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man doesn't save the high score.

Not to cause any problems between anyone, but how does someone making an add-on to an existing component differ from (let's say) a Brasington HS kit? You have an original PCB, an add on board and then (let's say) removing proms to add D2K.
It's the same deal - Spaeth shouldn't care and if he does that's ok too ... he's entitled.
But I really wonder, if it would be that easy ...... Spaeth ain't no dummy so why wouldn't he had added this or offered it as an add on?

Back when Mark did the kit, he wanted to keep the cost down. He kicked around HSS and whatnot, but decided to keep the cost down and do a quick time to market.

I would love to see the additions to the 4-1. I have one in my Pac mini and I think it is the perfect pac multi.

Mark said the only reason he didnt add HSS to the six pac is because it would put the cost close to what the 96-1 is. I guess the whole idea of the kit was a multi game that was inexpensive. Personally I would pay the extra bucks for a HSS rather than a bunch of other games I probably wouldnt play.

Count me in as interested for a HSS for the six pac. Why the bickering about how mark feels is beyond me though.
He may have created the 6 pac and has been paid in accordance however the games are NOT his and im sure he didnt seek permission from the copyright owners to put 6 games on 1 rom chip but hey what do i know right.

Your right in that aspect but as a community we need to respect the hard work people put into these kits for us. I know I read on another board that Mark is actually thinking of adding HSS on a future release of his kit.
I say add it to the 4-1 and then worry with the 6pac later. Im sure Mark has already read this thread and will be keeping tabs on it. He may choose to ignore but im sure we would all rather just hear a yes or no and be done with it.

We should respect Mark's work on the Six-Pac IMO. Since Mark made the Six Pac in response to his less than impressed impression of the 4-1 hack (so the story goes), perhaps if the 4-1 hack gets a HSS, Mark will follow up again with a superior version on his Six Pac.

The game plays very nice.
I noticed that after the game is over, the fruit graphics on the HSS save screen are a little messed up. The I only made it to the strawberry level, but the strawberry had a little chunk missing from it, and the missing chunk was located once space to the left.
Make any sense?

Here ya go. Got a little farther, but the strawberry is still kinda messed up.

My only motivation is to figure out how to do this stuff and share it. If doing so inspires Mark to one up it and come out with something superior then all the better. The community is better for it.
