Update/continued prayers for Superunguru

Hi, all

First let me just say thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and I'm having a hard time putting into words what they mean, but even though I don't know most of you personally, it means a great deal.

I got home yesterday and I'm resting comfortably. It was a tough thing that there had been a change in the tumor which of course took us by surprise, but even the doctor was surprised. Basically he showed us two spots on the tumor that had re-acted to the contrast enhancement on the MRI test from the day before. This was suggesting to the doctor that the tumor was probably a grade 3, but being only a few small spots, I tried to not let it get me too down as if the whole thing was suddenly contrast enhancing If I recall correctly, I hadn't had a contrast MRI since before the previous biopsy so something had happened between now and then. The thing he also told family and friends after surgery was that I would have likely had speech trouble had I waited like I had considered doing. I thank God I made the decision to get it taken care of instead of waiting and though I wasn't sure the, I know now it was the right thing to do. He ended up removing 95&-99% of the tumor, including the parts that had started to contrast. What I'm dealing with now is microscopic pieces he can't see so that is why the next phases is needed.

I guess what I'm really trying to hold on to is that the doctor doesn't have any concern about my longevity right now so I shouldn't be going anywhere, but I'll be pushing to start whatever chemo or radiation they will let me start. As Josh said it could be as soon as 10 days after surgery and I meet with a different doctor to discuss this and hopefully what they said at the tumor board meeting a few days ago as well.

Good news bro. Keep the faith. Positive prayers for you.

At least it seems like you have some good doctors and things are going as well as one could hope. I hope to be seeing posts from you for many more years, :)

May the force be with you.

Hang tough Bill. We need you to complete your mission here on Earth first!!

Hey SuperGunGuru - really good to hear from you, nice to have you back on the board. My best wishes going out to you here- please stay strong through this. You have a long want list and need to get back into that, get through this first and rest up.
