**Update** Buying a new house with machines in it.

^^^ This.... proves this:

:D;):p

(Just funning with you.... best of luck!)

HA! I have already overpaid for a few things. I'm trying to improve on that.

If he gave you a good deal on the house and he's in a tough place financially and you feel like being nice, offer him $500-600 for the Golden Tee. That's a bit too high but it's a game you want and like you said, it's already in the house, so the hassle of going out and finding another one and moving it into your new house can be folded into the price.

It may be that when he's thinking $7500 for both, he's thinking $5500 for the pin and $2k for the GT... if he bought them fairly new that's probably about what he paid. The pin has probably gone up in value and the arcade game has gone down. You could always offer $6500 for both and then sell the pin down the road and get most of that back.

Thank you! This is the kind of response I was looking for. Most of the other responses are also appreciated for their entertainment value, however. I think I might offer $6000 for both and see what he says, assuming they are both in fully working condition (which I believe they are) I could go up another $500. I'm sure we can work something out. How much I pay is a bit of a concern, however, because although my wife is excited for the basement arcade too, I am only allotted a certain amount for games. So anything I save here can be spent elsewhere.

Thank you again, everyone.

Ill just give you a GT if you let me vacation for a week in your west wing

The master bedroom is there and I'm not letting you sleep with my wife. You could stay in the basement. That is where the bar and arcade will be.

HAHA ok ill take the east wing...and ill be bringing my wife so we dont have to worry about all that...
But basement with bar and arcade will work...hopefully there are a few golf courses around...

GT fore 2005 is a good game but really you want the complete. the 2005 only has 5 courses while the complete has 29 courses. Also the spiderman pin isn't really that good of a pin. You can find better ones for cheaper. I have picked up over the years a Last action hero by data east fully led'd out for 1950, and Elvira and the party monsters for 2400, and lastly a Data east 1993 Jurassic park for 2000 flat. If you buy the GT 2005. The boardset to change out is on Ebay for normally just 300 so don't spend too much on the GT cab as you can upgrade the boardset to have many many more courses later on. Just my 2 cents.

TRAMD It is always hard to find games in So Dak. I know there have to be stashes around I played a ton of games growing up. You can always buy new ones and have them shipped but always like it when already set up.

Sounds good!

Thanks for the info. Complete is the game I truly want.

This is true. I am meeting more people in the know and finding games around here, however.

Spiderman is a great pin - Top 15 all time. If you can get it for $5,000 or less, that is a good deal. It will hold its value should you ever decide to sell. Ditto on the GT Complete. If you can get the one there for $300 or less go for it. You can always buy the board and upgrade it later...

Let's see some pics of the new house!

like all games, especially ones you are thinking about spending a lot of money on, go play one somewhere before you decide to buy it. Spiderman is one of those titles that seems to be hit or miss with players. personally, i don't care for it, and i can think of dozens of pins i'd rather own that would be less money. but it's been popular enough that Stern is re-releasing it in a special Vault edition (as mentioned before) and should run a little over $7k new. with that in mind, $6k for the pair i think is a pretty fair offer.

for closer to $5k, you can get a Walking Dead, Star Trek, Metallica, or Ghostbusters Pro editions brand new, shipped to your place. and around $5k or so will buy you an Addams, Twilight Zone, Theater of Magic, ST:TNG, Williams Indiana Jones, Tron, Simpsons Pinball Party... there are all kinds of choices.

i can understand the convenience factor but really, i operate and move games all the time and it's not all that hard and why not get a game you really want? especially if he's asking well above market value.

Here is the best picture of the basement area where the arcade will be. You can see the GT and also the Spider-Man pin way in the back.

I don't take possession until July 25 so it will be a while before I can post full arcade pics. Hopefully I'll have even a few more machines by then.

Make an offer on that shuffleboard as well! My family is in Rapid City so I know how far $1m can go there... Looks like a big room to work with.

It is a very large room and there is a huge bar next to it that is bigger than most kitchens. I am pretty excited for the completed arcade.

I wasn't sure about the shuffleboard, I was planning on putting arcades all along that wall!

I've seen so much bragging on this site that I know mine isn't outlandish. What I like is that people are so supportive of the bragging. Everyone feeling happy for others instead of jealousy (well maybe just a bit) is one of the most awesome parts of this forum. I can't wait to post pics of my actual arcade. Maybe I can start to compete with what all of you have.

i would keep that pool table for sure...and after looking at all the pics of your new crib...that place is BADASS! congrats on the new home...you can easily throw 15 games in there and it wouldnt look crowded...

You did a little creeping to find it? I can fit more like 30-40 regular size games in there without it being crowded. The main basement area is over 2000 square feet. Most of my games are large, however. I do plan on increasing my collection with some smaller games in the near future.

The pool table is in bad condition but I have 5 young children so it is perfect for me.

I guess there isn't any reason that anybody that cares to see cannot see the entire listing. The MLS# is 118644. There is some updating to do as my wife and I hate wallpaper and gold fixtures/lights/etc but it is an awesome house.

not sure the word "creeping" is the correct word...but yea..pretty simple to google it in 5 min, with someone on an online forum talking about their new 1m dollar house telling city and state... ;)
