Not that this is a bad thing, but here's my current workload. Just this week I picked up both a Taxi and a Getaway, and both are very, dirty, but the playfields are in great shape otherwise. I have a dirty TSPP to clean up as well, and I'm still figuring out my first EM machine. On the arcade front I have 3 machines needing attention.
My biggest barrier to getting through all these projects is that I can't stop playing the dang things! I typically hear about it going the other direction where people are constantly tinkering and never seem to get to playing, but right now I'm just extremely hooked on playing. Anyway, here's the order I'm going to knock the projects out:
1. TSPP - I plan on giving this as a gift to my dad for his birthday. It's really just in need of a full shop job, as everything works well right now. He's going to absolutely do a backflip when I manage to sneak this into my parent's basement while he's golfing during the day. I can't wait for his birthday just to see his reaction (he LOVES pinball).
2. The Getaway - Thanks to the Diamond Plate playfield, this should be a quick shop job. I'll just do a full teardown, clean, and rebuild on this. Not sure if I plan on keeping this or reselling it, but for now the plan is to keep it.
3. Taxi - This machine is really dirty, and it's going to take a ton of patience to get the playfield cleaned up. It functions 100%, but it needs a lot of attention to the plastics and targets as well.
4. OXO (EM) - I'm saving the OXO for last because it's my first EM and I want to focus on it fully when I dive in. I did tinker with it for a little while and got some promising early results, so I'm itching to get back to it but I think my patience will pay off.
5. Arcades - Most of the arcade problems I have are easy fixes, so I should be able to knock out all three in one evening. I want to get the pins up and going 100% before the arcades, so they come last by default.
So, what does your project list look like at the moment? Do you prioritize projects, or do you just kind of bounce between active projects and wrap them up as you can?
