Rubbing my eyes getting all of my things together to head to Kingsport Tenn. to the Auction Games Sales auction today.
About an inch of snow on the ground out side of my window, this makes me wonder what the auction site will be like.
I will take some pics. and post when I get back.

Almost went but didn't want to get stuck in the snow just in case- figure I'll go the March one instead.

I have to work today so I couldnt make it. You guys be carefull up there, my girlfriend totaled her car on the way to work this morning in knox. Watch out for that black ice, it will sneak up on you, especially in that corner of the state! Let us know how the auction goes! -Jason

Maybe everyone will chicken out of going and you can get some great deals!! :) I went to college in that area... in Bristol, VA. and I had a bunch of friends who went to ETSU as well... but that was a long time ago!

Good luck at the auction!

Booooooo!
There was only one thing there I wanted to bid on, a Multi-Williams.
I went up to my $1200 limit but someone else wanted it more.
I saw a fairly decent Pac-Man go for $375 right before that.
I left after that, so I don't know what they got for a couple of Trons that were there.

There was some type of Mr. Peanut scale? about 3 feet high that went for over $5000.
A guitar signed by Paul Simon for $3,000 something, and a giant Elk head for $1,100.

No Super deals on the classics..although SOMEONE on here (Space cough, cough Baby) got a really nice elevator action for 100 bucks.. I picked up a CD juke for 60 bucks. ALL the Ms pacs went for 350+ regardless of condition. Pacs went for almost that much too. I wanted a broken asteroids, but it went for 100 bucks. Let this be a lesson for multi williams builders... Two multi williams, same basic marquee, same painted cab/plain bezel. One has a nice multi-w CP and red t mold, one has a re-purposed data east panel. 1200 for 1, 350 for the other.

Wow. I can't believe that second one went for $350. That second CP was pretty uninspiring but what a huge difference.

I'm actually glad that guy pushed me to my limit on that other one. I figured he might because I saw him scoping it out.

I'm fairly new to the hobby and my original plan was to only have original dedicated classic cabs in my collection. I probably would have regretted adding in a new multi.

I want a REAL Robotron, a REAL Defender, etc.

I have a Roboton fo sale thats been converted to a Joust.. with a marquee/roms/cp..I have the cp but its got a joust cpo/stiks buttons.

Just got back........Man what a long day..
Oh Yea, got that Elevator Action for $100.00, Spy Hunter ur for $275.00 (Scott let me know if you want this).
Stun Runner for $60.00, Cruisin' USA for $90.00 (Thanks Mike for bidding on this for me while I was at lunch).
A free Continental Circuit cockpit (yes freeeeeeee).

Man I am beat....... I will post some pics. in the AM..........

My friend bought one of the Trons 750 I think. The first Tron conked out (I'm sure its just a fuse or a door switch as it was completely dead and was working before). The guy wanted 700 or 725. Later dropped it to 650 and finally 625, but my friend was firm at a 500 offer so he passed. Either way, with the exception of the mild cab damage on the top of the second, it was in much nicer shape.

Stun Runner for $60 is a good lick.

That $275 Spy Hunter had graphic and sound issues...decent looking cabinet though.

The MultiWilliams went for $1300+ and was trashed with the burn in on the monitor and the joystick on the right kind of wonky...honestly I have no idea why someone bid that high on it....

There were lots of deals to be had...I lots of fun in the $25-50 aisle near the end.

I also don't get this weather deal everyone was talking about.

Forecast was for LESS snow than LAST year and it was for FLURRIES. I repeat. FLURRIES. Last year was 1-2 inches and there were MORE people there. I took 24/40E to 71 like always, no problems, no nothing...barely snowed at all and like I said, LESS than last year.

It always amazes me about the South...it's like when I lived in California, a tad of rain and people go nuts...when I lived in Miami, hard crazy rain, business as usual. Same as when I lived in Chicago...when it snows there unless it's a freaking blizzard, it's no big deal. Flurries keep people away in Tennessee. Oh well, more crap for me, LOL!

(on spy hunter) It looked like the graphics glitches kinda cleared up after a bit..didnt hear the sound. I'll clarify and say the classics didnt go cheap. I left before the last row, it looked like newer stuff I wasnt into. Its hard to believe they sell those machines for 25 bucks..you net 5 bucks after sellers fees, etc..

So what'd you score jason?

So what'd you score jason?

Random stuff...Neo Geo 6 slot for $25, Neo Geo gold wood panel dedicated 2 slot for $35, Wrestlemania Midway with amazing monitor with all art in the cab for $50, Sunset Riders 4 player dedicated for $50, Puzzle Fighter in a Dragon's Lair II cab with giant marquee for $85. Simpsons dedicated for $125, and a nice Whirlwind for $1200 (I know I paid more than I should for this, but it was already shopped out and I have been wanting this bad for awhile)

Of course, none of this takes in to account the trailer rental/gas to and from, truck borrowing, and hotel for one night, ROFL......good thing is I am an operator and tax exempt, so it costs me a LOT less ($10 per item no tax) than anyone else with 18% commission and 9% tax....that's why we have to load up on cheap cabinets....make up the cost when we get back= P
