Hey guys. What would you do in my situation? I had a D9200 chassis that I bought on Ebay. After I received it, I discovered that it wouldn't work for my application, so I resold it On Ebay. It was advertised as "working" and shipped out that way. When the buyer received it, he had a 'technician' look at it and he claims there were some burnt up components and he advised against even using it at all. The buyer heeded his advice and issued a Paypal claim and wanted a refund. Here is what he said...
"The chassis board appears to have burned componits on it that was not in the ebay discription. Would not have bought this item if this detail was in the listing. My tech says it is not wise to install the chassis with the 2 areas haaving signs of burnt componits. I will return the item for a refund. As soon as I am instucted to return the item thru paypal."
The chassis worked 100% and if it had burnt up components, it would not have been sold, nor would I have advertised it to be in working order. I denied his refund and this was my response...
"The chassis was advertised as working. That is the way you received it. There was no mention of burnt components because there weren't any that I saw. There were black marks, but the components weren't bad. If they were, then the chassis, wouldn't work."
I mentioned in the item description of the auction that NO WARRANTY was implied because I can not be there when you install it. I doubt if he even hooked it up to see if it worked. He is asking for a refund based on the opinion of a technician. Is a refund warranted?
