I saw a Skull and Crossbones PCB on the Bay last weekend. I think it's kind of a cool game and not one many people remember, especially if you don't like JAMMA. Anyway, from the pictures It looked ok but was listed as untested. It was only at $20 with no bids so I figured I might as well watch it. A few people bid on it in the last few hours but the price was only up a buck and change. I figured what the hell and threw in a last second (literally!) bid and won the board. Shortly after I realized from the pics that at least one IC was half sitting in its socket, which made me less confident on my gamble. So the board arrived today and when I got home from work I took a look at it. Luckily that IC was socketed and I was able to put it back. Turns out a leg on it was broken off and someone had jumped it with some wire. So I go to test it and what do you know...it works! Pretty fun way to start the weekend. I've been keeping an eye out for this PCB to add to the collection. A week before I had won the large marquee used on the dedicated cab as well. :)

Nice!

Next order of business: finding a way to shut up that &?#$!! parrot! :D

I love this game and the parrot rules. Reminds me of a game that Bart would play on an early Simpson's episode.

I bought a Crazy Kong board here untested, and it worked, although the sound chip was bad. Swapped it out with a known good one, and it worked 100%. Although I no longer have the board...it's in the CK machine Funspot recently had donated, since the board in it was dead when they got it

Don't remember what I paid but I got a DK 2 board version set and at a different time a 4 board DK with a DK Jr board. Both DKs fired up and worked right away. The Jr. was a bust (just had colored garbage) but I was able to sell the it along with my problematic DK 4 board and get most of my money back.

One time I bought an untested Track and Field board on Ebay, and the guy ended up shipping me a working Hypersports boardset.
